Florida Supreme Court Blocks Assault Weapon Ban from Ballot

The “Ban Assault Weapons Now” group sponsored the proposal of an amendment that would ban semi-automatic rifles or shotguns that could hold more than ten rounds of ammunition after the Parkland shooting. The Florida Supreme Court court blocked it from appearing on the ballot for voters in 2022 because the summary ‘… doesn’t clearly state that a grandfathering clause applies to the owner, not the gun itself.’
